Dr. Bowers and his wife, Melanie, have made Columbia, MO their home since 2004, where they are raising their four children. He serves as the team chiropractic physician for the University of Missouri athletic programs and enjoys traveling, as well as cheering on Mizzou and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Beyond his chiropractic work, Dr. Bowers is the co-owner and operator of four Sylvan Learning Centers located in Columbia, MO; Overland Park, KS; Lee's Summit, MO; and Lawrence, KS. He is also a National Trainer for SoftWave and is certified as an ISMST Shockwave Physician.

Office Manager
Courtney handles all day-to-day operations for the office, as well as assists with Redlight Therapy, Decompression, SoftWave Therapy, Laser Hair Removal, and much more! When she's not busy taking care of the office, she enjoys going to Mizzou sporting events, reading, and spending time with her family.
Esthetician
Amber is an esthetician who is passionate about making her clients look and feel their best, inside and outside of the clinic. She specializes in Laser Hair Removal, Swedish massage and Micro-Current Facials. In her free time, she loves to read and spend time at home with her family and relax.
SoftWave Technician
Brant is a SoftWave technician. He is son to Dr. Bowers and enjoys watching Mizzou sports and the St. Louis Cardinals. He also likes to hunt and fish. He will graduate Logan College of Chiropractic in 2027 and plans to practice with Dr. Bowers.
Redlight Technician & Business Assistant
Mallory is our Redlight technician and business assistant. She loves being active outside, hanging out with friends, country music, and supporting Mizzou athletics.
Patient Care Specialist
Megan is currently enrolled at the University of Missouri–Columbia in the Science Medicine program. She enjoys going to concerts, hanging out with friends and family, and long hikes.
Patient Care Specialist
Lorie Smith joined Bowers Chiropractic & Med Spa as a part-time Patient Care Specialist, bringing over 30 years of healthcare experience. She is dedicated to supporting patients and assisting the team wherever needed to ensure a smooth, welcoming office experience. Lorie is married and the proud mom of three adult children and three grandchildren. She loves unwinding at the Lake of the Ozarks with friends and cherishing time with her family.
